Road studs(cat's eyes) are installed on roads and parking lots mainly as supplementary signage of road markings. Their purpose is to warn and guide passing drivers through visual and acoustic alerting (when pressed they produce vibrations).
Road reflectors are extremely useful in parts of the parking lot where there is insufficient lighting, for indicating dangerous points such as curbs, islets, sidewalks, while they can be placed at pedestrian crossings so that they can make them more visible to passing drivers.
